The Sprinkler Fitters Local 281 Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee will be accepting applications for admissions to the Sprinkler Fitters Apprentice Program.
We will only be accepting 500 applications.

Date and Times: November 9th through November 22nd or until we reach 500 applications.

APPLICATION FOR SPRINKLER FITTERS APPRENTICE PROGRAM

The Sprinkler Fitters Local 281 Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee will be accepting applications for admissions to the Sprinkler Fitters Apprentice Program. Sprinkler Fitters are skilled craftsmen and pipe fitting specialist in the fire protection field. 

***Only 500 Applicants will be taken***

Qualifications for an Application

You must apply in person.
Must provide a COPY of the following documents. We will not make any copies for Applicants.
No one will receive an application without these items: 

  1. Birth Certificate

  2. Your original High School Diploma or G.E.D. 

  3. Official transcripts for High School and any Post-High School education (keep sealed)

  4. A valid Driver’s License or State Issued I.D., or U.S. Passport when coming to fill out the application.

  5. Copy of DD-214 form if applicable 

    *Upon acceptance into program your Social Security Card will be required

    Must be 18 years of age at time of registration and apply in person.
    An applicant who is seventeen (17) years of age at the time of application who otherwise meets all qualifications may be rated and ranked and placed in the Poll of Eligible List. Such an applicant must provide proof that a graduation certificate or GED has been awarded and must be eighteen (18) years of age, prior to being indentured by the JATC.

    Applicants will be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the apprenticeship program.

    Applicants will be required to successfully pass a drug screening test as a condition of employment. This will consist of a hair follicle and a urine sample. Marijuana is included in the list of prohibited substances.

    Registration Fee

    Applicants must provide a $25.00 non- refundable application fee. Certified check or money order only, made out to Local 281, J.A.T.C.

    THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE QUALIFICATIONS.

    COPIES OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED TO RECEIVE AN APPLICATION.
